Courtney and Rowdy make short work of this deer.

A young man made a marginal shot on his first buck last night. After determining the deer was gut shot, I called Courtney. We decided to meet in the morning. She, Rod and Rowdy got there early and I took her to the site where I lost blood.

She unleashed Rowdy and off she went, after a few minutes of her determining which way the deer went, it was over in a matter of minutes. The deer had turned back at the location I lost the blood trail. The deer then crossed an interior fence and crossed the creek. Rowdy found the deer on the other side lying dead next to the creek.

Thanks Courtney and Rod, Rowdy is an awesome dog and ya'll made a young man very happy.

Congrats Rowdy and Courtney!! Just shows you how useful these tracking dogs are and that buck probably never would have been recovered without a dog. I'm sure the young man was very happy!
