Jim Fowler of Mutual Omaha’s Wild Kingdom

    Passed away
Watch the show every chance I got as a kid

I remember watching Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom on Sunday evenings, I liked that show. Old Marlin Perkins would be doing the easy stuff and Jim would be the grunt.
"Meanwhile I am hovering above the crocodile pit in a chopper while Jim is below, knee deep in them".

Yessir, Marlin had Jim do all the dirty work. Barefooted. Much of a man.

check that, i guess Stan Brock was the barefooted guy.

I was young at the time. All I remember is Marlin saying “get him Jim”. And Jim would get it done. rIP.

Jim Fowler wasn't the dude that would run down and wrestle all the critters fo Marlin, Stan was the MAN!

Man, I used to love that show. My dad and I would eat dinner and watch it all the time. One of my fondest memories growing up is this. I always wanted to be “ that guy” jumping on them and wrestling them down or on the front of a Jeep and placing a noose on them while hauling ***. He was my hero.

I remember Marlin saying, "WE did this or that" while Marlin was just standing there and Jim was getting slung around creation by whatever critter he was wrestling with.
