I saw that today, too. The article said it is not albino (could've fooled me), but rather a white "ghost" or "spirit" moose because of the Armstrong White Gene Strain (a recessive gene). There are more white moose in that same area.
Yes it is special to see this, but it is not good for the species. Since when is a recessive gene good? I do not understand why state DNR's protect flaws in cervids like that.
It should be fair game.
