    Late season January hunt
spring turkey in March or April
May to fill feeders and work
July 4th fill feeders and work
September 20th for opening weekend of dove
November 5th for opening weekend of rifle
    Thanksgiving
    December 15th for Peak rut

Those dates may not be exact but I try and make it down about every 6 to 8 weeks to fill feeders and cut brush.

Sometimes I will squeeze in 2 more trips a year one in the spring and summer.

Dove season and work weekends I leave Thursday and come back Sunday. Hunting during deer season is 8 hunts morning and evening plus 2 days of travel.

Today 8 hours driving home. 2 weeks ago 12 hour flight including layovers and a 24 hour drive once we landed.

75 minutes from the house to the gate. I consider myself very lucky!

Walk outside or drive 1000 yds to another entry gate on property. Love living on the land but sometimes miss the lease feeling!

I'm seriously considering going up 289 then west through Aubrey to catch the loop

Currently it's 27 miles for me. But have a contract pending on some bordering property that we plan to build on. If everything goes to plan by end of season it will be out my back door....

147 miles due west for the lease. Right at 2 hours from driveway to gate.

Duck hunting is a whole different animal. We probably average an hour and a half each way 3 days a week. 2+ hours one way is plenty common. Gotta get away from the concrete jungle and yahoos that come with it!

Could definitely use a Valero sponsorship or similar!
