    Calculation for KE and Momentum.

Last weekend saw me in Texas Archery rigging out a new Triax. Huge upgrade over my old Z2. I decided to go another route with new arrows and ended up with Easton Axis 5mm.

The tech set this thing up perfectly and i was shooting groups like i never have before in minutes. I got to put it on the chrono and it registered 291 fps with a 436 grain arrow. My draw is 29.5” and shooting 70 #

What is the equation to find out my KE and momentum?

For the lazy, less math inclined, google KE calculator. There are a few online that you just plug in info. You can play with numbers s quickly

            (Speed in fps)^2 x (Arrow weight in grains) / 450240 = KE in ft/lbs
