I agree it can get expensive to enter the the Airgun world, but it’s all relative when compared to other hobbies and addictions. You can spend $500 for a decent entry level PCP airgun. $800-1000 will get you a very nice setup, and the “cat’s meow” or Mac-daddy package can cost from $2000 - $3000+.

Compare those numbers with a new rifle setup or bow package and you’re pretty close. Golf (with greens fees & cart) and fishing (bass, fly, or saltwater) are hobbies that continuously cost money every time you participate. With airguns you can target shoot in your backyard and don’t have to join a lease or club to participate.

Even if you bought a used PCP airgun setup for $350-400, you could get most of your investment back if you decided the sport wasn’t for you.

He said he was dialed in at 50. Could easily go more. This pig was 30 yds and had complete pass through.
