LRGV NWR East Lake Youth Hunt

My boy got drawn for the youth hunt this week and I have found limited information on this hunt. Does anyone have any pointers for this hunt? Anyone else get drawn for this hunt? We are going down on Wednesday so we can scout for a day and a half before the hunt. Thanks!

So my boy shot a Nilgai cow at about 8am and then a spike at 8:15. Don't see any blood where the Nilgai was. It looked like he hit her so we are going to go look for her in bit. Spike has been recovered.

Found the Nilgai. She ran about 50 yards.

Wow, congrats. Don't know if you have ever had Nilgai, but it's ome of the best tasting game you can get. I like it better than Axis or beef for that matter.
