I pay over $9000 per year through my company for a Family of four. It did go up in 2017 for me. Thankful to have Health & Dental but........everything is expensive these days. Stinks.

Insurance companies have to pay for digital pills now that tells your doctor if you actual took your meds

I stand corrected that not right I just asked the boss sorry about that It's about $500 a month and that's the best package offered. We did pay about 1500 when I paid it.

For those paying over $1k per month...
                          Do y'all work for companies?
If so, how many employees are employed there?

I just did mine and I pay about $120 per month but that's for my entire family and I have a bunch of extra add ons like $500k life insurance, short & long term disability, HSA money, vision and dental, spousal and kids life insurances (those are like one dollar per head).

I've never known anyone personally to have such high health insurance costs.

I'm sure I could go on healthcare.gov and find stuff cheaper than $1k

Oh and my wife gets free health insurance from her job but her doctor doesn't accept that insurance (it's a major one just that her doc don't accept it) so she's on my plan where we have to pay more for her being there.

Actually, the reason why my insurance is so low is because my company gives me rebates for being healthy.
I have a normal BMI, cholesterol, blood pressure, I'm not diabetic and I don't smoke.
Not smoking alone they give us $200 per month.
If I was a fat, hypertensive diabetic who smoked then I might have a $1k health insurance bill too!

My family has not gone to the doctor at all in the last 12 months (outside of my kids needing their regular checkup to get immunizations).
So that $1500 for the YEAR of premiums we paid was a profit for the insurance company.
You are very fortunate. I work for a small Medical Manufacturer. It does have some perks but low healthcare costs is not one of them. The trade-off is I get paid well. However, once the government takes their taxes and healthcare it is a large amount per paycheck. If and when I change companies, healthcare costs and benefits will be one of the first inquiries.

We have a Republican prez and Republican Congress.
                            So what's the issue now????

You'd be the one they interview on tv spouting that crazy miss information.
$500 sounds about right for a family plan.

In reality we're funding the Ponzi Scheme using free health care to buy D votes. And nothing has been done to lower the cost healthcare. Here's an example, recently had a very simple medical test by a "specialist" and my cost was $45. That's the cash price of the test, using my insurance with a 20% co-pay it would have been $70. Total FUBAR!

                                .
Have you not noticed we have a Republican pres and Republican Congress?
                                So what is it now?
The dems are keeping Obamacare in tact to win votes even tho republicans control both the house and Senate?
