Looks like I may only be able to make it Saturday. Our parish festival is Sunday, and I'll be quite busy with that. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but if there is anymore room for 2 unskilled green as can be bowman (son and myself) I would be honored to try and give this a shot. I will offer my 16yr old son's muscles, along with my powerful pointing finger and help set up/breakdown or whatever else you might need. Will double check dates today. Would really love to attend.

But, I'm not going to be able to make it because my son won a youth hunt that same weekend.

That's one I built myself and shot it a lot for the last few years. Let a friend hold it that has a draw length about 5 inches more than me. Before I could say don't it was too late. I still shot it a few time after that but I knew it was eventually going to break. Oh well, time to build another one.

Board bows and selfbows, heck and even composite bows, sure get used to just one person drawing them in one way!!!

16-18 of October. You can do as much of it that you want. You will probably find yourself wishing you planed for all of it if you only do a day or two. Arvin

Hogslayer I would also not put a strap on that far down the limb. It ads shock and probably affects the limbs. At the fades it's ok nice bow before the miss hap. Arvin

Hey Selfbowman, I did get your message and apologize for not getting back to ya. I'm so ready to do this, and trying to get my 16yr old boy to come hang with dad and friends. But not looking promising on his side. But I'm really excited to learn from you pros. My finals are this week and things have been very busy, so I will be in touch with you by Thursday. I will gladly help out with any labor work that needs to be done around camp/cooking or whatever you need. Thanks again and see you soon. Aloha, Colin

Arvin, do you have a head count yet. I would like to attend if you have room for one more tent camper. I assume this will be mostly watching the masters perform their art. I have built a couple of red oak bows from Sam's site a couple of years ago and broke one recently. After watching the videos from the twistedstave site someone posted here I think I am ready to do this.

There will be some bowyers to assist you and teach. Yes on camping come on . The only ones I have concern about are large campers. 25' and larger. First come first serve. I have a two acre field we can fill up if need be. No head count yet but we have always had about 50 at the weaver Invatational . This is new and different so I don't know . Wish I did. We will make the most of what ever the Lord presents us with. Arvin

Will there be room on Friday for a new traditional shooter? Looking at getting a Sarrels bow and Bob thinks this would be a good place for me to shoot a few.
