been thinking too much this eveing! i should do a diy on the trailer too. it has a pipe tounge and the rest is several triailers but together. not even the same brand! but it worked. i have alot of ideas for it and plan to paint it red. i want it a brihgt color since most of my fishing is done in the dark.

Derrick, it looks great! I have been wanting to do something like this for years. However, this year my father bought a pontoon that was sitting on the ground at a recycle place, even got the title and knew the owner. Now it is in his name and he is going to give it to me. We built a trailer for it and it can be moved around now. Then he took the rails off and the deck and glassed them both sides and has gelcoated and webbed the deck. No more carpet!! The side rails are on it and it is about ready for me to add LED lights. I can get some from work at a very reasonable price. So that is coming up soon. Maybe we can get together when they are both done and plan a trip.

Yes the wood is glassed and then gelcoated. Took a couple pics today with the rails off. Click image for larger version

hf what watts are those lights?

that deck looks good with glass on it. how much weight does glass add to the wood? lets say a 4x8 peice.

                                did you glass both sides?
