I was reading an atricle in Texas Parks and Wildlife about Devils River State Natural Area near Del Rio. On the Bortale Dark Sky Scale it's a 2, that's dark!
In a separate website I read that to get to the park, they reccomend 16 ply tires. If true, I'll continue to go to Arkansas which is the same trip length from The Woodlands.
But, I'll do just about anything to get rid of my under exposure issues.
So, can anyone attest to the tire issue?

I can't speak to the tires but have you gone to photograph the eagles? It's a circus there this year. Was coming tomorrow but had something come up.

Where in Arkansas do you go for your night photography? I just moved to Dallas and I got into night photography while at Texas Tech and it was easy to get away from the light out there. Not so much around Dallas
