Can someone post his number on this. I get a couple of calls a year from panhandle guys looking for a tracking dog. I would have called him for sure Tuesday night. I was within 30 yards of that buck but couldn’t find him in the waist high weeds.

Lots of animals moving, even with the full moon.
Deer emptied 1500 lb. feeder in less than 3 weeks.
Still bachelored up.

An old lease manager told me once:
“If you have to talk yourself into shooting a buck, he’s not a shooter.”

I think these bucks need one more year.
My boy doesn’t agree.
We’ll see.

Camera got turned 90° by something really large.
No idea where he came from.

Clark, you always put up the best pictures!

Back in the stand this evening. I'm trying to get it done early this year. Size really doesn't matter... Oh and the Mrs agrees. Tired of trophies on the wall. Says I have too many.

I made my first impromptu hunt up there, some here may have followed along on the live hunt. I saw 3 great bucks in the 3 hunts I made but only 1 from the stand. I did kill a doe and a boar hog that turned over one of our feeders so all in all it was a success. Cool country and some nice deer up that way. Looking forward to a lot of hunting up there soon.

Anyone hunting the front tomorrow. Me and a buddy gonna try and hunt tomorrow night and Friday morning. Hope things get moving. The heat has slowed the big boys down to nothing.

My first sit of the season will be tomorrow morning and I wouldn't miss it. I've had some incredible hunts on weather just like what we're expecting in the morning.

Good luck to all.

Well we hunted tonight and movement was almost nonexistent. Wind had the few deer I saw extremely nervous. But mornjj ok nah should be quite a bit better as storm moves on.

I couldn’t stand it! I shot one of our bottom end shooters this morning in the snow! This Pine Tree hand is sure starting to like that big sky country up there! Next year I will be considerably more patient but I wasn’t passing on a P&Y buck in the snow!

Seen some this weekend but nothing to shoot. Lots of does and fawns but the are off limits this year. Passed a decent 120” to 125” 8 but young. Needs 1 or 2 more years. Hopefully he gets a pass from others around us.
