Will Hurd's district starts in San Antonio but is mostly south and west of there - all the way to the Rio Grande and almost to El Paso. His constituents are about 70% Hispanic and live in some of the most impoverished areas of the state. It is not hard to imagine that a great number of them loved ObamaCare. He narrowly won his last two elections over his Democratic opponent. He is a solid conservative on most things - his "no" vote was a pure self-preservation move.

I would agree with you but the truly destitute and indigent are on Medicaid. Obamacare doesn't affect these particular people.
