I went to Wal-Mart with my family and this 9 year old boy walked up to me and introduced himself as Jacob and asked if he could give me a sticker. I have to say I was about to say no but I changed my mind and said sure. As he gave me the sticker he shook my hand and said thank you for your service. As he walked way I read the sticker and proudly put it on my shirt. As I walked throughout the store the little boy and his father kept smiling at me and I could see the boy looking at the sticker on my shirt. I walked up to the father and shook his hand and told him that he has a real fine young man. Later as I was sitting on one of the benches in Wal-Mart (resting and waiting for the wife), I started to think about that little boy and it put a smile on my face while at the same time a tear in my eye. The tear was because at first I was about to tell him no for no reason at all.
I took a picture of the hat I wear proudly every day and everywhere I go, and the sticker Jacob gave me. I hope this story will put a smile on your face.
