Dang. I wouldn't think y'all had that big of a coyote problem and to still have the deer success you have. Looking forward to following this.

What do y'all put in the area to get them near the trap?

Mark, in January of this year I managed to catch right at five coyotes per square mile.

If you add in the coyotes that were killed coming to the call, as well as other misc. rifle kills, that percentage jumped to 8 coyotes per square mile.

We actually had an old buck killed within ½ a mile from where these coyotes were caught the day before I started trapping.

At dawn the very next morning six coyotes were given a speedy trial, and found guilty as charged.

          They were sentenced accordingly.

As far as getting them to step on the pan; I set right on the sign, and take the wind into consideration when making my set.

Then I let the bait, lure, and MB 550 do the rest.

Check out my first pic lol..
But I have to agree with you that 550 is a great trap. I would like to try the k9 extreme but haven't gotten any. I still do not like the 650. But I still have alot of Bridger that I use

Fergeris, it’s good to see your trapping buddy with you.

It looks like you’re putting the hurt on the predators early.

                          Good Stuff!

Dipped my toe in the water today by setting two bodygrip bucket sets. Might throw out a foothold tomorrow. Mainly out here deer hunting. I usually wait till after opening week of rifle to run a full line on my place.
