Default Which one (F250)?????

In a conundrum.... Help me decide which truck to buy.

Both trucks are XLT Premium pkgs, 6.7L, FX4, side steps.....

2016 Red w/ 44K miles at $38K has Ranch Hand repl bumper on front
2017 White w/56K miles at $45K has Gooseneck

Which one and why?!?!?!

Iíd buy the 2016... less miles and less money, no brainer for me. Plus, I donít like to buy anything the first year of a new body style.

If the new body style is something that you want, I would just go buy a brand new one. For just a little bit more money you can have a 2018 with no miles on it.

The used truck market is absolutely crazy. But then again, so is the new one. Itís crazy that a nice truck now costs more than the house I grew up in!!!

The 2016 hands down. There’s nothing different about the two trucks and you can get a gooseneck for less than seven grand.

Nothing different between an 16' and 17? I disagree.

As much as i love the new body style and white color, I'd go with the 16, less miles and less money.

I’d go with the ‘16 and never look back. Less miles and I can’t stand white vehicles period.

What happens when you can't stand white or red vehicles?

Newer body style, more room in the cab, much better ride. I'll be the odd one out and go with the newer one. Newer body style will be more desirable if you decide to get rid of it.

Coming from a 2015 to 2017 the ride and room is no comparison which my family appreciates on long trips.

You can be in a new XLT Premium for 50ish, or a lower option XLT for $48-49. No way Iíd pay $45 for a 17í with 56k on it. Either hunt harder for a new truck, or take the red 16í. Itís a pretty good deal.

Touchť. You have an absolutely valid point; I just donít personally value the new body style any over the old one. The lower miles and the price on the 16 would do it for me. Body style adds no functionality/reliability/etc. and $7K would be tough for me just for looks.

Then again Iím cheap. I always love looking for last yearís truck when the new models come out.

I found another 16 Lariat for $47k with 55k miles in white. Living on a gravel road, white is my preference but that red truck is purdy. So now it becomes a balance of a fancy truck or a basic truck.

I may know of a 17’ F-250 Lariat with 30k miles for sale in the next few weeks. It’s two tone white top and magnetic bottom. My buddy was getting a truck allowance, and the company just told him they were buying him a truck. He said he’d decide in the next week if he was selling his now.

2018 Ram 2500 Tradesman crew cab 4x4 diesel
Out the door $51,000 (includes $2,000 negative equity).

I decided that a warranty is more important than extra bells and whistles at this point in my life.

I almost did the same, except I wouldíve been about 7K in the hole so I walked. The tradesman are pretty good buys for the deal, have just about every option and pretty comfortable

Yeah, I really liked the truck and need a long bed for work, I just couldnít take the hit, especially since I put a lot of miles on a truck a year, will be at about 40,000 this year come the end of the month.
