A lot of the stuff that comes from China is non-existent, as well as parts that are from China. I think a boy-cot is in order.

How exactly does this boycott work? So we don't buy stuff that we can't buy due to unavailability? I'm down for the cause.

I use a Harbor Frieght mini chop saw. It was $29 with coupon.. How can you beat it?

Just kidding, you are asking a good question, and one I had myself a few years back when I was gathering up my arrow making tools. There are some good leads and suggestions already posted about buying/building a diy saw. I made a diy saw, and it has worked out OK for me. Good luck with your search.
