Since then, the weekend after Thanksgiving has always been my favorite weekend to hunt. I was 24 and had started my career in banking and was making enough money to get my first lease. It was in Mills county and about 900 acres. It was 23 degrees that morning in that bottom where I shot him and I was the only one at the lease that day. I learned how to load a buck by myself that morning. Good times!
