Got caught in a fence maybe? I can't see a deer sticking around long enough for that and not getting killed if it was a predator. Or maybe got hit by a car although I'd say fence before a car.

Seriously, something got ahold of her neck and her head/muzzle like a big cat would. I would say that it is entirely possible. Although a good sized bobcat might be able to do the same damage so you couldn't rule that out either. Any big cat sightings out that way recently?
