Building a blind

Does anybody have any experience with large blinds affecting deer movement within bow range?

Im thinking of building a platform for me to attach a large ground blind to see from a higher elevation instead if on the ground. My initial measurement is 6ft tall and the platform is going to be 8x8.
Does that large of a platform tend to push deer around the area it is placed or do they just get used to it? How large is too large in your opinion?
Eventually i want to close it in and make a box blind out of it. But for now, im just going to put my ameristep on top.

They get used to it, especially with a little natural vegetation breaking it up some.

Now that being said, big deer don't get to be big ol deer by making a habit of walking within bow range of any blind.
