    Wood Waterproofer

I'm going to build some wooden gates this week (b/c they are unusual sizes) and the welder quoted me some ridiculous prices for them.

I know Thompson's is NOT the one to use, but which waterproofer should I use and where can I get it?

Personally I like the Bear products. I haven't had any complaints with them.

Talk to any fence builder or deck or arbor builder (I do the last 2) and most will tell you the best product on the market is Penofin. This is the only product I will use and it comes highly recommended by the Redwood/RoughCedar distributor here in Lubbock. Nothing I have found compares.

Behr is what we use. Better warranty than Thompsons but have not used Penofin??
