Nice stag and fallow down!

Fallow #2. First was in January (thread on that one too). 23 yd shot and 57 yds on the stag. I’m so freaking pumped and can’t believe I got both. I guess a white one is in order now to complete my fallow colors.

Sorry, crappy service at the ranch in east Texas. Friend of the family owns it and only has a few hunts available per year. And since January, we’ve been killing all he has. Yes, I’m going broke, especially after this weekend. So the fallow hunt was nothing special. Been watching him grow since last year. Came to hand corn. Shot him from my climber 20’ in a pine tree. 125 grain slicktrick standard did perfect. Went maybe 50 yds.

The stag was kinda special. 1. I’ve been wanting one for a long time. 2. It’s was a spot and stalk. 3. Got close to him, he ran away, I froze, he came back and I popped him at 57 yds. He went maybe 100 yds and piled up. NAP spitfire 1.5” did a number on him! Got both hunts on video! Very cool experience.

On another note, if y’all ever decide to go, bring more ice chest than you think you need. Those stags are huge!!!! Just got done deboning them. LOTS of meat!!!
