Default I hate ebay

I don't need any more TC's. I mean, I'm saturated with them. However, when I go into ebay and I see the bids on a couple Stealth 230 IR's, then I just have to play. I got one for 128 delivered and one for 151 delivered. That, plus I plan on buying a couple Moultrie I40's. Sheesh. The people that enter our place SW of Dallas better watch out. There might be a new surveillance system going pretty soon. Problem is, I see some more likely deals coming up over the next week. I may have to shut down my Paypal.

Surplus? You REALLY think you can have too many TC's? LOL

Let's do a little inventory.

4 old, original stealths. I don't use those any more
1 WD1
2 WD2
1 WD3
3 WD4
1 230IR
1 Leaf River 6 mp
2 Leaf River IR
1 Leaf River 2BU
2 3mp I390
2 230 IR on the way.

Hey, I think I'm sick and need help. Same thing with pop-ups. It's a sickness.

You figure the 12 cameras that the Junco partners have and that's lots of data. I had to buy a laptop just to go through cards. In two weeks, I'll have cards from 15 cameras that have been 15 feet from protein feeders. I figure somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 pics. Dang, I can remember when I had my 35 mm Deercam and got 26 pics, just hoping to get a deer on camera. Now, I only keep pics that are unique or that have big deer.

Hey Doc,

I noticed that Costco is selling 1TB (yes that's terrabytes) external hard drives for around $250 the other day. I figure you're gonna need a couple.

LOL Smart. Look out, it's addicting. Now, let's don't go bidding against each other.

Mike, I got a 320 GB WD Passport for Christmas. If I fill that up, I'm really going to need help. LOL

More like 16 of my own that are still kicking and 12 JUnco cameras. Well, 15of my own. I can't remember where I put my WD3. LOL It's out there somewhere. taking pictures, wondering when I'll come find it. Crying out for love. Hold on, WD3. I'll find you sooner or later.

If I start a group, H4H, we can get together at our meetings and bring TC pics for entertainment.

I love the off season deals!

Got a I390 for 85 and a 6V battery+case to go with it for 20 bucks.

Also got a Stealth Prowler for 124 after rebate. Its 449 at BPS right now.

That puts me at...

3-4 Homebrews i dont use much anymore
1x Homebrew video i also don't use much
3x i390s (these are my favorite)
1x v450 (eats batteries)
1x 230IR (sloooooow trigger time but reliable, mine isnt working like it should but never bothered to return cause its good enough)
1x Stealth Prowler - Havent used yet...

If you havent looked at the stealthcam.net site in a while check it out. they are coming out with some low priced cameras that could be awesome!

When I buy more cameras I am going for the regular flash cams... I'm pretty sure deer can still see the IR flash...so there isnt much point in getting them... and you get color night photos with the other.

Yeah, I'm afraid that when the new cams come out, the sickness will kick in again. When I went to the Junco last week to fill feeders, I told one of the partners I'd look for him an I40 on the way down. Well, I stopped at two Academy stores and they didn't have the I40. So, I left one with an I390 that was 139 and the other with another WD4. Heck, I had one more battery box left from my old Stealths and no camera to hook it to. See, I'm sick. someone help me. Hold my credit cards. No wait. Maybe I should shred them. You guys would just use them to buy more cameras and popups. LOL

I love the pics from my 390's, but I don't think they are as sensitive as my other stealth cameras. Great flash and the battery life is tremendous.

Probably not your problem GR5 but I had one do the same. It took a picture every minute during the day whether there was something there or not. I changed the batteries out as they were very low when I set it out and almost down completely when I checked it next. After changing the batteries out, the problem was gone.

Doc,
How do you go about cataloging your pictures? You seem to have a good system the way you can pull pictures of various deer from various years and provide info pretty easily. What is your secret?

I just have lots of folders. I have folders for feeders and folders for blinds and subfolders for different feeders and blinds. Folders for kills cataloged under killer and subfolders on the killed. I have pig folders, turkey folders, TC folders with subfolders for ranch which has subfolders for feeder or cam location. I have Son in law folders, coon folders, cull folders, camp folders, duck folders, elk folders, folders for each year of general pics and deer from that year. Then, as long as I put the pics in the right folder, I can find them. LOL

TC's make hunting that much more fun. A bad trip to the stand can be a good trip to the PC. I have more pics than I can count and about 2000 more to check if I will ever go pull that last card.

We're thinking about welding some protective boxes to the 4 gates that can access our place and put some of my cameras in them. Even if they destroyed the camera, the card should be good and should get them before when they pulled up to go in. Plus, as many cameras as our group has, eventually someone's going to slip up and get their pic takne.

Make sure you make the box lock enclosed so they cant cut the lock off!
