Great deer, especially with the added challenges of public land hunting.

Are those scars on his left side?

Very nice job and congrats on a National Forrest deer.

My best word of advice because it will make it ALOT easier is to spend about $75 and buy a game cart from Academy to get your deer out with. I PROMISE YOU WANT REGRET IT. My FIL only hunts the forrest and has several people that hunt with him and EVERYTIME something is shot he just gets out his game cart that I bought him and goes and straps the deer on and wheels it out. I shot a doe last year and used his cart and I promise it was so much easier and worth the money.

Way to go! The deer I am most proud of is a little fork horn I killed with my bow on public land several years ago.
