Default Butcher knife build

This is my progress thus far.
Blade is made from stainless/carbon core San mai.
Blade is .125
OAL 12 3/4
Cutting edge 7 1/4

Did you make the San Mai yourself? I bought a San Mai billet from a guy on ebay a while back, but it wasn't stainless. The line looked just like yours--smooth and continuous. Most of the San Mai knives I've seen on the internet have a more randomly shaped line.

Nope I didnt make it. This is actually
V-Toku2 Carbon Steel Clad with Stainless Steel DPS San Mai.

I bought one too on the internet with same results, I make my own since then. Except I use 15n20 jacket with 1095 core. My San Mai smoked the internet one.

Yeah Im done forge welding until I get my press finished.. The 1.5 cable I forged by hand into a billet wore me out!

If you need any cable when you get a press I have a lot of 1 1/2 cable. Yes sir; it's a lot of work, especially now that it's getting hot.
