I went into the new one in Waco and wasn't impressed. Unless you are looking for ammo in the six or seven calibers they have you are out of luck. Makes sense they own Oshman's which became Sports Authority (clothing store) and went broke. Taking Pricks down the same path. Good riddance.

Ill pose this question. Is Dicks really concerned with gun control in the context of public safety or is this a way to weaken Academy’s competitive advantage? Im thinking the latter.

Take fire arm sales away from Academy via the govt. That would strengthen Dicks competitive edge. Equal the playing field a little more.

They already gambled by opening a massive amount of stores down here and putting them right next to Academy’s. They go bankrupt a-lot so no one is making the case for strong business decisions. Also according to this thread it’s already backfiring.
