Beautiful dogs. I didn't realize how good they can track until 3 weeks ago. I called a local police officer who has one for a pet and found my deer on 2 passes with no blood for the first 100 yards. I was really impressed. Good luck with your new dog.

Everything happens for a reason, Lets just say out of all the people in the world he picked you and if He’s good with your boys and other dog he is supposed to live out his life with you. I hope you keep him.

Stray German Shepard advice needed

Currently we are planning on keeping him, unless he’s claimed. Wife named him Shep. I now think he is under 1 yo. He did great in the garage last night so that is good. We will see... if we decide not to keep him I will contact those who posted they wanted him. Thanks for all the info and love the pics of other Shepards.

Edit: He will be coming to my shop with me tomorrow so we will see how that goes...

Best dog I have ever owned. Adopted him from German Shepherd rescue of Houston when he was one. Great temperament with my two kids (both under 5).

Your new pup does look younger. They need lots of exercise and like to be with the family all of the time.
