    Pig Holes

This week we put several pig holes out to attract hogs and it works like a charm.
Dig hole as deep as you can with post hole digger. Layer corn and pig out or any other hog attractant in hole. Top it off with remaining dirt. Put out camera and wait for the hogs. They found ours the first night. At one hole they spent six hours digging.

I used an auger on the tractor

            Looked like a bomb crater

You can pour corn down an armadillo hole and get similar results too

That is the main reason I sold my place. It's somebody else's problem now and I cried all the way to the bank.

I understand (kinda) the desire to want to attract pigs. I dont understand wanting to spend money on corn and hog attractant in order for pigs to dig a huge hole on your land. Pouring corn/attractant in a trap in order to catch them I am good with, but not gonna pay to have my place destroyed. Interesting concept.....

I remember the first time I tried this back in 2000. It worked like a champ. Been doing it ever since!

Here's a couple of the wallows I've had. Some have been much larger. I've got videos of how to make them back when TBH was pretty young. As I was getting some request on how to make them. One hole I have video on shows me laying down in it 3 foot deep. And 8 foot long. I could have been buried in it . The knee deep mud holes are wallows I had the pigs working one spring. There's a few TBHers who have seen a few of these.

Just mix up strawberry jello, water and corn in a 5 gallon bucket. Pour it where you want them to come to and they will find it quick. Don't have to dig anything. Freshen it up ever so often.

Make friends with the produce guys at a supermarket. Ask them to throw the ild strawberries and plums in a box on the side for you. When those spoil and get the sweet smell Cali hogs went crazy for it.
