    Armadillo trap . .

After exhausting a bunch of "can't fail" remedies for keeping them out of my garden, I am ready to spend some $ and get rid of the pests . . I have guns ready but haven't had an opportunity . .

Supressed .22 and some motion sensing lights would be my vote.

You can just funnel them into a trap using 2x4's or......get a fresh road kill and put on some plywood for awhile to get the scent on it then put it in a trap.
Just don't get caught picking up a squished roadkill dilla, may look funny to passersby.

Best trap, bar none. I’ve caught so many with mine.

Also, need to kill the food they are coming in your yard for. Most likely grubs

Figure out which direction they are coming from and set a funnel trap. Basically use some wire to funnel them into a live trap. No bait is required.

            x2 ^^^^

This trap is by far the best hands down!
I've built funnels to the mesh wire live traps - only ever got one!
I've spent several sleepless nights up with a spot light and .22. I did knock out a lot with this method.

But this trap is without a doubt the best - https://www.thearmadillotrap.com/

Just be ready with your .22 when you open the trap in the morning.
sometimes I have had to open both ends and push the armadillo out with a length of PVC pipe and then they take off!

Saw this early last year and built my own---caught 36 last year and have caught 7 so far this year. I just use 2x10 boards to funnel them into the trap. When you catch the first one, leave it in the trap overnight to scent up the trap.

Before you dispose of any caught armadillos, make sure they don't have any acting abilities. I bet the owners of Armadillo Al are making a killing off of his role in the Reliant Energy commercials.

Can you post a pic of the interior, I’d like to see the release mechanism so that I can build a knock off. Thanks!

I had to put guides on mine.

                          Hey Shine
The round Dow rod in the middle of the trap should have a notch in it. It locks on the round hole that it sticks through. When they try to walk through the box they hit the Dow rod releasing the two end doors. I always set it on either th left or right side of the hole. That way it does not matter which direction they come from.
