    I am glad to have read this thread. All the past 2 weeks I have heard about backfeeding through the dryer recepticle and my gut feeling was not good. Glad I laid extension cords and covered them with rugs to avoid tripping.

        It's not recommended to cover extension cords with rugs/ carpets for potential fire danger. I understand not wanting to trip over the cords, I don't have an alternative suggestion.
