This is the Lone Star Classic Volleyball Tournament. 2,000 teen age girls playing volleyball at the same time in the Dallas Convention Center. It's noisy chaos.

Very nice and also unique. You normally see sports shots with a lo tighter composition. I like these, especially the first one. Nice work!

I ended up with a 17-50 Sigma in 2.8.

I think it's my favorite (right now).

The uber wide one that I got (11-16 Tokina) has been decent but not great. But then, I have not sat on a windmill with it either.

I'm pleased they don't look ordinary. I guess that's the point. I tried the 70-200 a few times but it limped into focus and only stayed mounted for a few minutes each time. I really need to get that one to a shop. The replacement cost is a pretty fair ouch.

I've been looking at that lens. I need a basketball lens. Those gyms are tough shooting. Your pics settle it for me. Too bad I just had to write a big tax check. It's. A long time til basketball season though.

Been trying to decide what a comfortable level of blur is. After all, blur can sometimes mean motion in a good way.
