    Hog euro thought- lower jaw

I have an old hog skull that was patched up and painted white. It looks like crap but still has meaning to it.

I was thinking because the lower jaw takes so much space, why not cut the lower law behind the cutters and throw away the back 2/3 of the jaw. Then place the front 3rd of the lower jaw on a nice panel with the upper skull back in place. Like a simplified hog euro, if that makes sense.

Or my second thought was to keep it whole and just repaint it with that copper metal paint.

Anybody done either of these things?

Keep it whole and repaint. Haven’t done it myself but have seen end result and think it will look better than a partial jaw.

I painted one w/ the bronze metallic paint, wasn't anything special to me. It came out ok, I'll see if I can find pics.

I also vote that you leave it whole and repaint it.

So I’m thinking of using the bottom jaw exactly like what you did in the picture but keep the top of the skull whole.

How would that fit or display together?

That is super cool! Never seen one mounted like that before.

The top jaw fits right on to it you are just simplifying the lower jaw. You’d mount it on a flat plaque.
