Has your peas sprouted or the dry weather got em knocked down?

They sprouted just don’t plant those too heavy in the fall. We’ll plant peas, beans and sunflower heavy in the spring.

Looks like the deer like the trophy clover mix.

Without the wire enclosure you may have thought your plot failed.

Well, it looks like we got over an inch so far. Anyone know if elbon Rye will start growing this late in the year? We disked them into the soil at the begininnjbg of November and hadn’t had any rain until now. It was still growing (very patchy) in some areas last time I was out there but I wasn’t sure if this rain will do any good since it’s so late in the season and whether the elbon Rye will still grow or not since it’s December.

Elbon will germinate as low as 33-35 degrees I believe.

If the birds did not eat the seeds, it should come up. Forage oats has a husk around it that protects it somewhat so it should come up too, I think wheat would be the seed that goes bad because it is not protected by a shell or husk.
I think Plan B is spot on about the temp.

That Turner mix did good. I have used that one a ton and have always been pleased.
