Default Cottonseed 1-Ton Sacks

Has anyone every seen the 1-ton sacks of cottonseed? I heard they were found at a gin on the west side of San Antonio. I live in San Antonio and am not aware of any cotton gins around here. I've only found the 50-lb bags of Speer Ag cottonseed at local feed stores.

You can get them in edroy south of Mathis. I believe those sacks are only 1000 lbs though.

That is a great price. Anybody know of a pea supplier in the Haskell/Stonewall county area, that sells bulk?

Dang cottonseed has gone through the roof this year. I know the bag price is higher than bulk for convenience but dang thats high.

We as deer hunters in no small part have sure driven that market in some of these rural areas.

Heavy rains and flooding ruined a lot of cotton. Some went bad in fields and some never got picked because it was too wet or ruined. Prices will be high this year.

Do they sell in smaller quantities? Id like to try some out of a spin feeder to see how the deer take to it before buying a ton of the stuff.

Yes they have it in 50 lb bags of course more expensive. They also occasionally have 1100 lb bulk bags.

For the guys jumping on Beards&Spurs, he was referring to feeding peas in the spin feeders....not cottonseed.

You can buy the Super Sacks for about $8 a piece online. Some guns will fill your own bags up for no additional cost. I know the gin in Sinton will not charge you for the bags if you bring back the old ones in good shape.

I wish some of these places were closer to me.......... The only thing I can find in my area or headed towards my lease is between $12-$18 a 50 lb sack.
