That’s how I age them on the hoof. After I kill one, I cut them in half and count the rings. Usually accurate to within three or four years.

Straight back. Gut doesn't have a drop. Not the best judge going off of phone but don't se much brisket sag. He looks like a young overly healthy buck but would not hesitate to take out. 4 tops and am ok being 100% wrong! Wouldn't be the first time

Wouldn't give him 4 years. Hunters consistently over age deer so if the average in here is 5 years old I'm betting 3 or 4. Straight back. No sagging belly. Definitely a shooter though!

fat body due to the abundant rain over the summer. my buck was the same way. he ended up a little younger than i would have liked. but, the 1/2 inch fat everywhere made him look like a keg on 4 legs.
