To cull or not to cull

On a new place and rule for a cull is any deer with no brow tines. I have a couple pics of a good looking younger deer with only one brow. He fits the definition but not sure if we should wait to see what he does. Suggestions?

We would kill him on our lease. He ain’t old but he should have brow tines.

      yes!

g1's are the most inheritable trait and even if he grows some they will be very weak

        I'd kill him.

I wouldn’t kill him unless I had better deer in his age group.

Depends on your situation. On our place he would probably be gone. Way too many nicer deer in similar age classes.

Those will make good rattling antlers! Shoot him.

Guess I'll go against the grain, no way I'd "cull" a deer that young. Too many unknown variables. And unless you're high fenced culling does absolutely no good.

This is why i asked. I realize he fits the bill under the “rules” but he’s young and has better tine length than some of the older deer. With old guys like this one it’s hard to shoot a solid youngster
