First sit off the 2017 season

After working last night and driving to Menard from Houston. I’m finally getting settled in the ground blind to do a little sweating before the feeder goes off. I’ll update as the evening goes on.

I’ve seen one young 8 and hen turkey.

Had a couple does come out late. But had the largest bobcat I have ever seen walk by at 66 yards. I took a walking shot and missed just behind him. He ran off behind a log a sat down. Took another shot at his head and neck and missed again just high. When I say this guy was large. He was very large. All in all a good sit in the stand.

Looks like the eastern part of the county got a shower, did you get it? We had great movement at all the feeders this weekend and saw several mature bucks. One 10 was killed, several 8's were passed. Good luck!
