Cancer free.....5 years later

Most of y'all followed my trials and tribulations in 2009 (colon cancer surgery/round of chemo), 2010 (colon cancer surgery/round of chemo), and 2011 (surgery to remove about 95% of my colon).

This week marks the 5 year anniversary of being cancer free (the time period that most oncologists (and some insurance companies) consider you completely "fixed".

TBH'ers stepped up in a HUGE way back then when I wasn't able to work and kept me and the family from a potential financial disaster. My wife and I will never forget the generosity of TBH'ers.

-Organizing a 3D shoot and fundraiser
-Donated items, fishing trips, hunts, etc.
-Visits at the hospital and the chemo clinic
-Mowing my yard
-Filling feeders at the lease!!!
-Helping my daughter with her dying pet (thank you Dr. Mike!)
-The KCA tshirts and all of that
-Bringing my deer mount to the hospital (thanks, Mayor Mary!)
-Too many other people and things to mention

For those of you who haven't been around very long....this community is very special. Let's keep it that way.


And my public service announcement......GET A COLONOSCOPY ON A REGULAR BASIS. My ordeal started at the age of 38!!!
