    ATV Tire Pressure Question

I have a Honda Rancher 420 ES 4x4. The recommended tire pressure is 3.6 pounds. I just bought new tires and had a tire shop mount them. He said he put 14 pounds of pressure in each tire which was what was on the side wall. Seems like I should stick with 3.6 not 14. What does GS say.

5-6# in aftermarket tires. The factory 2 ply mess that comes on them are in a league of their own

I run 3 to 5 lbs max in aftermarket Mudzillas on my ‘03 Rancher. If you ran 14 lbs it would beat you to death....especially with stock tires.

Lower pressure is for good ride ..and helps avoid flats by folding in when you roll over something hard

Yep...too much air and you would puncture a tire real quick on the rocks on our place.
