asked a couple questions earlier and noone answered one of them...if high degree masons write a book and basically declare it a religion..why shy away from that...if the fez that shriners wear signify the massacre of Christians say so or not...if you cant learn "secrets" until you progress..why ..whats the point unless those secrets are doing harm in some way...its just all robe wearing and handshakes...kinda silly...and would a Christian masonic business man hire a mason over a Christian even if they were equally qualified.??? i think all legit queations.

For those of you who are not associated with Freemasons and have no desire to then why such a stick up your butt because someone else does?
If be curious to see if those who are being so preachy live their daily lives telling others they're wrong or if they're Sunday Christians?
And for the record no I am not a Mason

BowSlayer, believe me, I have read most of the anti-masonic literature that is out there. I have had many discussions about masonry with many vehemently anti-masonic people.
4dog. You are making assumptions and accusations not asking real questions. Ask a meaningful question and I'll attempt to answer it just as I did with BowSlayer.
The one question I do see: It is a violation of labor law to discuss religion in an interview or ask questions about religious affiliations. However, if I had two candidates who were on totally equal ground, and one was wearing the square and compasses pin or a masonic ring, I would hire him over the other. But, what is the difference in making that hiring decision compared to hiring someone just because you both graduated UT or A&M? I would argue the fact he is wearing a masonic pin has a stronger possibility of telling me something about his moral character. Not all masons are fine upstanding men. We erased as much history about one of our former past masters as we could when he went extremely astray. But, I also think there are way more good than bad.

if the fez that shriners wear signify the massacre of Christians say so or not...No, it does not. Here's some information for you to read. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shriners
if you cant learn "secrets" until you progress..why ..Because that's the way it's always been, that's one of the "mysteries" of Freemasonry.
whats the point unless those secrets are doing harm in some way...Just because you don't "get it" doesn't mean any harm is being done...on the contrary, Masons are known for their good deeds.
its just all robe wearing and handshakes...kinda silly...Then Masonry isn't for you. It's a simple matter really.
and would a Christian masonic business man hire a mason over a Christian even if they were equally qualified.??? Could happen. I know a lot of college graduates that get jobs because of the ring that they wear.
i think all legit queations.

This has to be one of the longest bashing threads in the history of the TBH.
Hey I know, let's bash Jews tomorrow and then go after Mormons the next.
As we are all aware, only Baptist are going to heaven we can take turns bashing on any body or anything we don't understandLast edited by Buff; 08-26-2014, 08:22 PM.

As I posted a couple of pages ago, the whole thread being on a bow hunting site just makes me sad.
I have always felt everyone was welcome on the TBH black white or something in between but this has been a three day attack on some of the finest men I have ever had the honor to meet.
Most are too nice to come out and say how little they care what someone else thinks of them or how they choose to spend there free time so this thread just keeps crawling along.Last edited by Buff; 08-26-2014, 08:38 PM.

Not all Masons are devout Christians, some are Jewish and of other religions an of course they do not worship Jesus Christ. Those of us who are Christians pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...outside of the Masonic Lodge.
Once again...Freemasonry is NOT a Christian Organization, it is not a church or a religion. It was founded in antiquity and once again, is based upon the Old Testament...well before the birth of Christ and the advent of Christianity when there was simply God Almighty.
So, now that you're clear on that lol...understand that we still follow IN LODGE the same esoteric work that has been handed down since around the year 1390 and some scholars believe for thousands of years.
In my church, the First Methodist Church of El Campo we speak of Jesus and the New Testament. In the Masonic Lodge we speak of King Solomon and the Old Testament. And guess what...for us Christians Jesus never leaves our hearts, souls or minds while in Lodge or outside of it.
Oh and for Death From Above...
I'll debate with you anytime buddy as long as the Bible that you speak of is the Old Testament. The New Testament has no place in Freemasonry because it didn't exist during the time of Solomon...but the Old Testament did.
Also, just FYI...you may think you know everything there is about Freemasons but honestly you don't have a clue.
But you go ahead and ask me my beliefs and I'll answer you honestly and sincerely right here on the Green Screen.
I will not however tell you things that only a Mason who has gone through the three Degrees would know. You do the three degrees and then we'll talk about that.
In the end, it's not worth it, nor my want to be a Free Mason and wear my Granddad's 32 ring. I just wanted to understand more before stepping in.
one bad apple they say....
edit: I was born into Episcopalian and Baptized as such, later joined Baptist then Lutheran and re-Baptized Methodist and married as such and re-Baptized under just a Fellowship.... always searching for a truthLast edited by wassaw; 08-26-2014, 09:15 PM.

Exodus 14,14-31
14The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.’
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to go forward. 16But you lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the Israelites may go into the sea on dry ground. 17Then I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them; and so I will gain glory for myself over Pharaoh and all his army, his chariots, and his chariot drivers. 18And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained glory for myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his chariot drivers.’
19 The angel of God who was going before the Israelite army moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from in front of them and took its place behind them. 20It came between the army of Egypt and the army of Israel. And so the cloud was there with the darkness, and it lit up the night; one did not come near the other all night.
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land; and the waters were divided. 22The Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left. 23The Egyptians pursued, and went into the sea after them, all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and chariot drivers. 24At the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire and cloud looked down upon the Egyptian army, and threw the Egyptian army into panic. 25He clogged* their chariot wheels so that they turned with difficulty. The Egyptians said, ‘Let us flee from the Israelites, for the Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.’
The Pursuers Drowned
26 Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and chariot drivers.’ 27So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at dawn the sea returned to its normal depth. As the Egyptians fled before it, the Lord tossed the Egyptians into the sea. 28The waters returned and covered the chariots and the chariot drivers, the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea; not one of them remained. 29But the Israelites walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.
30 Thus the Lord saved Israel that day from the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. 31Israel saw the great work that the Lord did against the Egyptians. So the people feared the Lord and believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses.
Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
