If you have a chance, swing by this chocolate place near old town... they do some awesome chocolate drinks, truffles, chocolate covered peppers. Everything is delicious.

      Eat!

Lot of good food. Eat a Navajo Taco. And no, that's not me using a euphemism.

Eat at the Shed or La Fonda. The head chef at La Fonda is a hunting and fishing son of a gun. Both good eating

I’ll second the shed..really good. Bandolier is a cool experience. and casinos are worth it if you like to gamble. Buffalo thunder is probably the nicest casino. The square has tons of stuff but make sure to bring some cash!!

Drive the high road to Chimayo north of Santa Fe in the late afternoon.

Beautiful sunset. Eat at Rancho Chimayo. Great New Mex Mex. Sit outside on the patio.

Have a breakfast burrito at Tecolote Cafe in Santa Fe.

Several neat Native American museums there.

                    Love Santa Fe.

A thought. Take your wife to a Pueblo festival. I know San Ildefonso has a harvest dance on the 25th. You show up and they feed the heck out of you. They usually do several dances in traditional garb. Plus they have some of the finest black pottery you can collect.

Call ahead to the Pueblo to make sure everything is on for the feast days and to check times.

Maybe go to bonanza creek for a tour? Lots of westerns have been filmed around Santa Fe.
Cerro Pelon, bonanza creek and Eaves movie ranch are a few close ones. Lots of successful westerns and other genres have been filmed in the area. Ghost ranch is a little further up the road but if you like to take photos go out there and take a look around.

If your a casino person it would probably be best to take the train down the hill and get one of the many casino shuttles from the train depot to the casinos like Santa Ana or Sandia.

Drive to Chama, NM and get a Fina's breakfast burrito smothered with green chili and cheese.
