    Little pond project getting underway.

I started pushing and digging dirt it of this ditch several months ago. My little 40 something HP Kubota can only do so much. Finally hired a local guy with a dozer to do some real work. Pictures incoming.

I started digging the core trench a few weeks ago, mainly to find out how deep and what kind of clay/caliche I’ve got to deal with. The pond will be on a dry creek, but does see lots of water when we get decent rains. The large cedar trees behind the JD will be removed. I’m guessing it will be 60-70 wide by 120-150 feet long.

This is on my to do list but no clay here so I might have to do a liner. Good luck and can't wait to see the after pics.

Better build a park around it and put in benches, or the TBH Nazi's will beat you up for calling a "tank" a "pond"! [emoji23][emoji23] You will enjoy the heck out of it. Congrats and looking forward to the end result.

The deepest part right now is about 5. We are hoping for it to be around 10, so hes got to go quite a bit deeper. He will get back on it Monday.

How? I know at my parents we could go about 3 ft down before we hit rock.

You will enjoy the heck out of it though

I hope your putting an overflow pipe in the dam.

Following along to see the results. Good luck.
