I’m a little confused...at the areas I have been hunting the amounts of rubs and scrapes are way down from years past. Walked some yesterday on private and nothing there either. Are y’all seeing much or is it just me?

Thanks, I was a lot more in tune with what was going on down here last year. Been splitting time between here and Grapevine this year, also prepping for a drawn hunt down south.

Had a big buck 25 yards from me yesterday...as I came to full draw, broke some dry branches with my elbow...he split!!! He chased off a smaller lil 6 point, that didnt want anything to do with him lol They are definitely getting that loving feeling lol

As a tip, when I get my stand hung one of the first things I do (even in spots I have hung before) is draw a couple times and check different angles. This accomplishes a few things including interference of small twigs and branches. Makes sure my bow is good, makes sure my bad shoulder isn’t going to act up, my harness and clothing aren’t going to cause an issue, adds an extra level of confidence, etc... all of these things have prevented me from taking animals in the past. I feel your pain, there is little worse than putting in the investment in time, effort and money to have a small thing prevent success. Things will always go wrong, but I have learned the hard way preventing what you can is critical. Good luck on connecting next time out!
