Same here, we used to have a ton of grey fox in Frio County. Never did shoot one but man I would love to have a nice red one mounted!

I shoot it. I like quail, turkey, and chickens much more than a fox

This is why we shoot them. Not sure if it has been the rain or us hammering the fox but our quail population has gotten much better since se started hammering them. I only see grey fox but I would shoot a red for sure.

Lastly, I am surprised no one has made a Sanford and Son refference with all this talk about red fox............

Watched a grey fox eat some sweet feed I had put out. It was really funny. It gummed his teeth up and he was having a time getting it out. I let him walk. Really pretty animal.

Watched these axis and red fox for several minutes. They all walked.

There is a couple that visit our back fence nitely...We see them pretty regular..But in all I think there numbers are low..So I let them walk..We throw out scraps and bird seed and corn...nitely

Short of taking out apex-like predators, I only shoot eventual table fare.

I shoot every coyote I can. I shoot a bobcat once every ten years or so. I let fox walk. Coons, opossum and skunk I kill every chance I get.
