              Thanks! They don't need a lot for a burrow. They are pretty small critters. I think these stay among rocks at a culvert under the roadway. Up near Lubbock, they use prairie dog burrows.

                    They don't actually "burrow" to my knowledge, they kick prairie dogs, gophers etc. out of their holes and use those. At least the ones out here in West Texas that is what they do. If you have prairie dogs you have burrowing owls as well for sure. Very cool little birds. Have seen them down in the Odessa area and all up and down the panhandle.

                            Owls and Hawks are some of the most amazing birds. Well they are all amazing in some way I suppose but Owls are one of my favorites
