It will go on an existing tower. Problem is when I built said tower in about Ď06 I did not have the foresight to build it big enough for 3 of us to spend an afternoon in...comfortably.

So Iím gonna build a steel tubing frame to fit the old tower, and slide it under this box and weld it to the floor joists. Iím to fat and lazy to Jack the blind up and weld it after the fact, so Iíve been putting off putting the floor in until I get that done, so I can weld it from the top. I have procrastinated as long as I can, so I have to do that before I can move forward.

I appreciate it, Larry. I wish there was skill to it, but itís mostly just doing something wrong a bunch of times, and trying not to do that again.

I was gonna do regular padding and carpet with a rug over top. I usually kick my boots off when I get in, but itís tougher for dad and our older crew to do that. Iím thinking about sticking down something cheap and throwing a rug down thatís easy to replace every few years.

Starting to put together a list to do the trim. Since the weather changed, that paneling has A LOT of wave in it since last week, so a little more trim may help hold it down. May be ready to ship it in a few weeks.

There was a shelf in the old blind that this one is gonna replace, I painted the front stiffener white hoping people would see it and not hit their heads. Everyone hit their heads on it anyway, then started writing their names on it when they set there. I want it in the new blind, so I took it out of the old one this weekend.

It has some notable names and dates, and a bunch of other good friends.

When I got it out of the truck tonight, I found an old note I had left to myself. Back then, I added the shelf after the fact, and obviously didnít know the exact length it needed to be until I got out there.

Laminate flooring is not my deal, come to find out. I figured it out, but not before I got mad and screwed the 1st row to the floor with the aforementioned lathe screws.

I like that floor choice too. Quiet, and easy to clean up. Plus,it just looks nice in there. That blind is gonna provide years of service and trophies for porch sit-n & story tell-n! With window diaries to prove it.
