Default Does he break 160?

I've had my eye on this guy for a few years. At 4 and 5, he was a mainframe 10. He lost the g4 on his right beam, and the g4 on his left beam is probably not scoreable. He is 7 this year, and is probably on the menu.

I get 158 giving him a 22 inch spread and 24 inch beams. His beams might get him to 160. His right side kills his score. Don’t shoot him on just score. It doesn’t give him justice. That dude has a massive frame.

I think he is going to be right on the line; agree with not making the call based off score as well. He's a stud!

I got a touch over 160” with 22”-23” MB.

I may have gave him a little much on the mass. I think he’ll be 155”-158.”

Heck of a deer!

Love the frame on him. He’s a dang cool buck!!!

Just off the look...I was thinking around 160”.
I put some math on him and my guess is mid to upper 50’s but in person he could definitely be bigger.

I will gladly video opening weekend... I am sure I'll have to talk you into actually shooting your buddy....

And just remember on the scoring..

Guesses on my deer were from 145 low to high 160

And I am sure you remember what he actually scored...

This thread is very interesting. I know this deer probably weighs as much as a mule, so its deceptive. I see one thing, but when I add it up I get another thing. I'm going to say 162".

Great buck no matter what he scores. My guess he doesn't make 160 cause of the brows and extra's. My trigger finger would be really itchy that's for sure. Good luck on getting him!

He is high 50's easy and would not be surprised if he breaks 160 by a couple.. That is a great old buck.. If he is 8 years old there is no way I could pass him... It would be a shame to lose him due to natural mortality..

Every time I score him, I come up with 162". It's hard to tell in pictures, but he is absolutely magnificent on the hoof. Even when I knew I wasn't gonna shoot him at 5, he'd give me butterflies when he walked in...

I can easily see him at 162".. Especially in the second pic.. I'm counting his 7-8 inches of abnormal points though..

It was awesome. I've been hunting a long time, but this one was really, really special. He came in 3 out of the 4 weekend hunts, but stayed about 80 yards out and just stared into the pen. Finally, Damon and I determined he did not appreciate the cottonseed feeder being empty, so we filled it. He came in no questions asked, but was on the move. I drew on him 3 times and finally got a quartering shot at 25 yards. He pancaked in the pen, but jumped up and made it about 30 yards and piled up in the brush. Easy tracking job for Scout!
