South Texas rain, gotta love it.

Even though we only got an inch, sure is nice for the cool down. Shot two pigs, one coyote, fresh water prawns are growing for our lake, found one shed, cool temps, doesn’t get much better than that. Click image for larger version

You're having a better day than Deep South Texas. Everything is flooded like crazy down here.

Those of us West of I35 weren’t so lucky.

Tell me more about your prawns!

Indeed...it's a swamp from Alice south on 281 & cant imagine 77. McAllen has multiple sink holes, weslaco / Mercedes had 10-12 inches. It has been a long long time since we had too much.

Im gonna try & hit the ranch in starr to check in the next day or two but suspect it got exactly what it needed...crazy.

Its bad. Its a lake around my house. Stewart place in Harlingen is a solid sheet of water. We had to close the clinic in weslaco today because frontage was just full of floating cars.

From what I've heard, underwater as well.

Hate to hear that, but much needed rain.

Peyton, the prawns are a long story if you want details. Pm me if you want to discuss. But short story is we built a 1/4 pond to raise them in with a gate to drain into our main lake to give our fish some more food source. Supposed to be high protein and easy for bass to forage on.

                              La Perla style! That’s awesome!

                              Any pics of the ponds?
