I admit to killing many a garter and grass snakes when I was young. My friend Tracy Thompson cured me of my ill ways a few decades back.

Used to be if I saw any kind of snake I would hunt it down and kill it

Now I just kill the venomous ones and the rat snakes that get in the hen house

King snakes get a pass no matter what
