JT Richard Passed Away This Am

Sorry I do not have any more info.

He was great guy who lived life to the fullest.

He designed a recurve that could be turned upside down to be able to be shot left or right handed.

He built and lived on a house boat on the Sabine River.

He guided in Africa for several yrs.

He was loved by his family which is the greatest of all accomplishments.

    He will be missed.

Dennis texted me that JT's daughter said "The day before bow season. He went to the Happy Hunting Grounds to hunt with old friends."

Prayers up for the family. Was fortunate to shoot with JT on several occasions, the first of which being at the Texas State Longbow Championships about 6 years back. Sure enjoyed chatting with him.

Got the text from Dennis this morning.
Big loss, he was good people.
We will honor JT at Chester this year like we have honored others that fought the battle with cancer.
After the Sunday Morning Chapel service, we will shoot an arrow into the woods in his honor. Hopefully his grandson will be there and do the honor for us.
He was a great person to be around, a good friend.

JT and I was close. We hunted quite a bit together in the
last 4-5 years. One of the last hunts was In S Africa in 2015, we shared
bow making together, went to Tn. Classic together and made shoots
together . He was loved by all and good friend to have . I will miss him for sure.
May God be with his family. Arvin
